Hawthorne Park is a large park on the north side of Okmulgee. The north-south street of Okmulgee Avenue runs west of the park, with Seminole Avenue running through the center of the park. Facing Okmulgee Ave. is a large grass area with playground equipment, a small covered picnic table, a basketball court, and an unused fountain and reflecting pool area. To the north is a three-court tennis area.
East of Seminole Ave. there are two baseball fields, and a soccer field. This is an older park that is utilitarian, with few amenities.
