Cateri is another of the attractive villages in the hills of the Balange area of Corsica. On the front of the main church is a large sundial. The sundial, above the main entrance and below the three large bells has red hour lines and faded red numbers in contrast with the bright yellow façade. There is no gnomon but the dial seems to be correctly designed. The hour lines are correct for a morning sundial, declining a bit east. Google Earth shows the wall declines about S10E. The hour numbers go from 7am to 4 pm.
Sundial Type: Vertical - Wall mounted dial plate
