Located along the Amphitheater Trail in the Farish Rec Area the project educates the hiker to the flora and geology of the Sub-Alpine area they are walking through as they walk this trail.

The trail is beautiful and peaceful and is at an altitude of 9200 feet above sea level. Now you know why it is Sub-Alpine. Below you will find the text on the first of the 12 markers associated with this Eagle Scout Project.

Start of the Trail:
You are about to enter a delicate sub-alpine
ecosystem. The trail ahead contains 12
interpretive plant markers. Please stay on
the trail and enjoy.
