Originally from Cedar Fort, Utah, this blacksmith shop was built in 1858 and was used to meet the needs of Johnston’s Army stationed at Camp Floyd. The original tools are still on display in the building in addition to tool and iron parts from other sources.
After World War II, the "Smithy's" gradually disappeared, but a record of that once vital industry, a necessity to every American community, has been preserved in this display.
