Left side of main entrance/exit. A lovely old example. I can't date it though, perhaps you can when you visit.
Tell us about the area the post box is situated.:
The box is situated in the front wall of the exterior of the station building. The area is typical of this part of South London. Quite an OK area in daylight though and the station is very busy at peak times.

Condition of the box: Good/Average/Poor: Average

Is this post box still in use?: 17:30 Daily 12 noon Saturdays

Is VR embossed on the post box or is it an "anonymous" box?: VR

Any other embossed lettering, such as manufacturer?: Smith & Hawkes

Manufacturer Inscription: Smith & Hawkes, Eagle Foundry Broad St Birmingham (1856-71)
