Spectacle Island is one of the Boston Harbor Harbor Islands. It is located about 4 miles from Long Wharf in Boston where you may board a ferry to the island. it features a marina, visitor center, restrooms, two sandy beaches, a rinsing station, and five miles of walking trails that offer wonderful vistas of the City of Boston and Boston Harbor. A cafe is available during the summer.

The island was initially two drumlins connected by a spit, hence its name. The land area was 49 acres. Due to landfill activity and parkland renewal efforts it is now nearly twice the original size at 85 acres. It is part of the Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area. With a height of 157 feet above sea level, Spectacle Island is now one of the highest points in Boston Harbor.
