Emerson School once stood on the west end of the park. It was originally built as the Jr High School for Stevens Point. The alternative High School used the building after the Jr High school and later third through sixth grades.

Now the building is only a memory. There is a baseball field and a basketball court plus the play ground equipment.

Parking is on East and Ellis Streets only.
