Kimbell Bay Park is a lovely city park in Yukon, which offers many recreational items, such as a swimming pool, baseball field, basketball practice court, picnic pavilions, playground and tennis courts.
On the east side of the park in a lovely landscaped area is a life-sized bronze sculpture of a young girl in a pinafore and sandals. She is holding a bouquet of flowers and smiling. At her feet is a cat, happily rubbing her leg. It is a sweet sculpture that makes you want to smile.
A bronze plaque reads: In loving memory of John & Newt Wheatley.
