The memorial is a full length figure of a young girl, Martha Parma Basham. The statue was made in Italy from a photograph. The girl is barefoot and wearing a knee-length dress tied with a bow at her neck. In her left hand she is holding flowers. In front of the statue is an urn and a bed for flowers.
