It is common practise for major buildings in Thailand to have an associated shrine. My reason for waymarking this shrine is that it is larger and more impressive than most, having an eyecatching Buddha image.
This shrine is associated with the provincial hall (governmental centre for the province) of the Nakhon Pathom province, ~50kms west of Bangkok. The hall is located ~5kms to the south of the city of Nakhon Pathom, easily reached via road. On the north side of the hall is the shrine. There is a large gold Buddha and a prayer area inside the shrine. The site is open to the general public.
