The memorial is located in front of the Supreme Court Building. On the base of the memorial is a fallen officer being held by another officer. Behind the sculpture by Lil Mitchell are the names of the fallen officers. The names have been etched into a marble slab shaped like that state of Nevada. The memorial also has a quote from the artist:
"In the line of duty some lives are given and some are taken: We respect and honor them all."
