This church building suggests saxon origins the Arch between the nave and the chancel is considered to date from 1140 and the chancel rebuilt in the 14th century.
The south transept was thought to be added in 1280. The door is considered to be 16th century work and the present porch was added December 1888.
The unusual pulpit and sounding board are thought to be 17th century and the oak pews date before the reformation . The font is thought to be 14th century and was lIned with lead in 1888. The Iron chandelier is probably medieval.
The church is in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust.
