REMEMBERING THE COLUMBIA
They left behind Earth, air and gravity in the pursuit of their dreams. Each of the astronauts of Shuttle Columbia knew their great endeavors came with great risks. All of them accepted those risks willingly, even joyful in the cause of discovery.
On February 1, 2003, Columbia's 16-day mission of scientific discovery ended suddenly and tragically minutes before the crew was to return to Earth. Though they may be lost, their lives shall always be remembered for great inspiration and achievement.
