The Pearson-Robinson House was built in 1900 by the original owner Raleigh Pearson. The house was later owned by former Arkansas Governor and then U.S. Senator Joseph T. Robinson. He and his wife lived in this house until 1929 when they moved to a home at 2122 Broadway in Little Rock which is listed as National Historic Landmark. Senator Robinson later became the Senate Majority Leader and was known for "shepherding" much of President Roosevelt's New Deal programs through the Senate.
