Marker text:
This avenue of trees, sponsored by Clemmer-McGuffin Post 13, American Legion and Auxiliary, was given in loving memory by the people of Staunton and Augusta County. In Memoriam 1917-1918

The Legion Post continues in existence over at 357 Cedar Green Rd, Staunton, VA 24401. Post meets second Thursday each month at 7:30PM (except July and August).

The trees in the avenue have understory growth, thus not a row of individual trees. Both hardwood and softwoods appear to have been planted and/or designated.
