This painting moves the heart as it so graphically shows the sadness and exhaustion experienced by both rescuer and search dog. During the weeks following the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building bombing on April 19, 1995, it was said that the search dogs became so despondent, not being able to find any live persons in the rubble, that the handlers had to occasionally set up a simulated "find" with other rescuers, so the dog could experience some success in his search.

Fred Stone is a well-known equine portrait painter. His painting, "PARTNERS" proudly hangs in the White House. It was chosen out of 5,500 entries from 55 countries around the world to receive the Certificate of Merit of artistry and printing.

In the main entry hall of the Oklahoma Firefighters Museum, a copy of the original, in canvas, hangs on the wall as a constant reminder of the dedication and selflessness of the first responders during this horrific event.

A plaque under the mural indicates that it was donated to the Oklahoma State Firefighters Association on 9/14/2000 by the Oklahoma Thoroughbred Association.

Prints of this painting are readily available in several sizes online. (visit link) This painting will break your heart.

"Partners" has raised over a half million dollars for charities such as the ASPCA, canine search & rescue, and the families of New York City Firefighters who died on 9/11.
