The 45th Parallel of Latitude Marker - Great Lines of Earth on Waymarking.com

The plaque reads as follows:
"The 45th Parallel of Latitude, which is halfway between the equator and the north pole, passes through this point - The St Lawrence Parks Commission"

This stone and mortar monument is on the Long Sault Parkway on one of the many pull-offs. You can see evidence of the flooding that occurred many years ago with the flooding of the St Lawrence. There are also lots of Canadian Geese around, so be aware of goose droppings.
