This Boer War memorial was designed by Nowra stonemason James Dudgeon who made it of marble from Italy. Originally in front of the School of Arts where it was unveiled on 15 January 1902, the memorial was moved to Rauch Park in 1962.
The other sides have Kimberley, Mafeking & Ladysmith stenciled on them being major battles.
I was aware of the memorial so took the opportunity whilst in Nowra to take the photographs.
