This former school house stands on the corner of County Road "DB" and School Road in Marathon County.

This is the second Knowlton school built on this site. This is a red brick building. There were two class rooms on the top floor and the lower floor or basement held the heating system, which at the time was probably wood, storage and two bathrooms. The school was closed in the late 1960's and then the building was used by the town of Knowlton as the town hall. Around 2007 the building as sold to be converted into a residence.
