The Clements Stone Arch Bridge was erected in 1886 across the Cottonwood River about 1/2 mile south of Clements. The bridge was constructed by L.P. Santy and D.Y. Hamill who also operated stone quarries near Clements. The bridge was erected at a cost of about $12,000. The bridge spans one hundred seventy-five feet over the Cottonwood River, with the span supported by twin stone arches. The bridge rises forty feet above the water level and the road bed has a wide of ten feet.
The bridge is now retired and replaced by a bridge located to the east. The public is allowed to walk a short distance to the bridge along the old road.. The far end of the bridge is blocked by huge stones.
The bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.
