“Farmer’s Daughter” and “Friendship Star” are companion barn quilts on this farm north of Churdan. They add a warm glow to two different barns although “Farmer’s Daughter” was originally on the red “smiley face” barn down the street. The black background of the “Friendship Star” gives it a three-dimensional appearance, but “Farmer’s Daughter” has some depth as well. They are both on the north side of 110th Street (E-13) and are listed as #5 and #6 on the Greene County Barn Quilt map.
Your Visit:
My husband’s cousin is the chairperson for the Greene County Barn Quilts and it was a special thrill to have our own personal guided tour. Her special stories added a lot to our enjoyment of these barn quilts.
