Turkey Creek and Prairie Townships were the first in Kosciusko County to establish schools and its out of those early pioneers that this school was established. It is an example of the rural consolidation effort likely built in the early 1900's. It is not being used today. An outhouse still stands near the school. It can be seen from the road and I believe on private property. Its in good shape still. Much better than many of the quickly disappearing one room schools that dotted each township in Indiana. It may be hard to find because of the vegetation growing around it but it looks as if it will still be standing for some time to come.
