Carl's Frozen Custard stand was opened in 1947 by Carl Sponseller. Ice Cream cones come in chocolate, vanilla or strawberry, though pineapple can be chosen for shakes and sundaes. Cones are served with a distinguished signature "twist" added by the server.

Today Carl's is listed as a National Registered Historic Place.
