There are two sculptures of fish hanging outside the entrance to the Blanco Family Museum in Angono, Philippines. This is one of the few hints that there is an art museum behind these bare walls.

The fish bear some resemblance to the gongs found in many Buddhist temples, but are probably more representative of the folk themes for which the Blanco family is well known. The patriarch of this family of artists, Jose V. Blanco, was himself the son of a local fisherman.

The Blanco Family Museum is something unique - the work of one artist, his wife and their seven children, showing the progression of art development for each one in his/her own right.

There is no indication of which family member created these, although it was probably one of the children, and there are similar works on display inside the museum.
