This is tower provides water for the town of Mt. Olive, MS. Organized along the Gulf and Ship Island Rail Road in 1899 it was incorporated in 1900. It was a timber and agricultural hub, boasting of 3 cotton gins at it's height. Today it is best know as the hometown of Steve McNair. As of the 2000 census there was a population of 893 people.
