A life size bronze sculpture, "Story Time", by Gary Lee Price is located in a low gated enclosure outside the entrance to the Agawam Public Library.
A young boy and a young girl are sitting back-to-back on the ground, both holding an open book. They are bent over and thoroughly engrossed in their reading. According to the sculptor's website they are "anxious to turn the page, ready to explore".

Jeanne Hofmann , dedicated the last 30 years of her life to working with children as the children's librarian. She was the Acting Library Director at the time of her death.
