This Bell has some History behind it being installed, sold and through a tornado and then being returned to the orignal town.

This is a Steel Alloy 36 Church Bell made by the "C.S. Bell Co. Hillboro, Ohio.

On the plaque it reads as follows:
Nardin Christian Church Bell
On May 23, 1899 this 750 pound bell was placed in the belfry of the Nardin Christian Church, which stood on the SE corner of this block.
In 1927 the bell was sold to the Lutheran Church in Blackwell. On May 25th, 1955 the Luteran Church was destroyed by a tornado and the bell remained unused until returned by the Friends of Nardin in 1977.

This memorial bell structure was completed May 23, 1980 exactly 81 years after the bell was orginally installed.
