This small bell was replaced by another treble bell when it was found to be beyond repair, from the bell cote. A framed note beside the bell tells all. The bell is on the window sill on north side inside the church.

The framed note says.
"In Memory of
Piers Russell Rea of Eskdale
1925 - 1934
A treble bell bearing his name and
the inscription of 'Dei gloriam cano'
was given in 1956 to replace this
15 th century bell which was
beyond repair.
The tenor bell, dated 1687, was at
the same time."

The damaged bell is on the window sill of the north side of the church, about mid way along.
