The memorial has two bronze plaques mounted on a boulder. The larger of the two plaques has a bas-relief showing a bust of Felix Pedro. The plaques are inscribed:

The monument is located at a pull off from the Steese Highway across from Discovery Creek where he found the gold which led to the development of Fairbanks and the gold rush to Fairbanks in 1902.
