This former Cities Service station is unique with its rare glass turrets in front. A sign advertising “Koolmotor Gasolene” is at the top of the shorter turret. The black and white checkered art-deco building was constructed in 1930 for $10,000, but the auto repair and car wash bays were added at a later time. The service station operated for over 40 years and closed in the late 1970s. It is presently vacant. This station is one of the last of this architecture to exist today, perhaps it is the last. It is located on the corner of County Road D-22 & Driftwood Street at the south end of town.
