Cheesman Park was built on grounds that included an old cemetery. The contractor hired to relocate the bodies was ummm...., not too efficient (and corrupt), so many of the interned were just left. Each time there is a remodel of the park, remains are often found as occurred last year (2010) during the current remodel. (visit link)

Olmsted worked on the park to ensure the magnificent view of the Colorado Front Range mountains could be enjoyed by visitors.
Type of Public Space: Park
