Another hundred year old home on this two hundred year old street. This one is a mirror of the one across the street, down to the dormers and porch, except, the original trim remains.

This is another one of the newer homes, built in the 1910s. Some notable details are the three dormers, a double in the middle and an usual addition, with two on the top right and left. This feature can be found in several of the homes on the block. The home is narrow, not wide like the colonial counterparts. The house has a second elevations with a brick chimney on the right side. The home kind of sticks out with the rest of the street, which has a late 19th century feel.

Byrne, National Register Database Manager (John_Byrne@nps.gov), Department of the Interior. This narrative was created March 16, 1979, mailed in to Washington, D.C. and evaluated April 18, 1980 and finally approved on July 21, 1982. Thanks to this designation and the efforts of the community to stop developers in the early 70s, Haddonfield is permanently protected and is one of the best example of an intact Colonial America. Grove Street represents the late part of construction within Haddonfield, occurring the 1880s and 1890s with some homes built in the 10s and 20s. This would represent the last of the growth of this town.
