Definitely the most beautiful and attractive home on Grove Street, constructed to look colonial and as a result, inharmonious with the Victorian-aged block.

Beautiful homes make up the bulk of this historic district and this attractive home represents the flavor of the community and of those older contributing homes. At first look, this home looks authentic, like something found on Kings Highway, but in fact, it was built in the 40s. It was built with fidelity to blend in with the older part of the historic district. There are almost twenty windows and could easily house 7 people. The stucco also gives this structure a decidedly Colonial feel as well.
For a more detailed and informed physical description of this site, I have added information from the original nomination form sent to me by John P. Byrne, National Register Database Manager (John_Byrne@nps.gov), Department of the Interior. This narrative was created March 16, 1979, mailed in to Washington, D.C. and evaluated April 18, 1980 and finally approved on July 21, 1982. Thanks to this designation and the efforts of the community to stop developers in the early 70s, Haddonfield is permanently protected and is one of the best example of an intact Colonial America. Grove Street represents the late part of construction within Haddonfield, occurring the 1880s and 1890s.
American Colonial dwelling, built about 1940. Steep roof. Pent roof across front and center entrance. White stucco. --- National Register of Historic Places Inventory -- Haddonfield Historic District Nomination Form
