Built by King Manuel I, put an end to a feud that had lasted since the year 1297, with blame for the donee Alcobaça D. Frei Domingos, which prevented the continuation of work begun in year 1297

Parish Church of St. André
The first place of worship that existed at the Jail were completely ruined when D. Manuel I had built on the same site a new church dedicated to St. André.
In the original construction of this temple there is little left and the last major reconstruction made ??in 1909 left us the baroque high altar of the eighteenth century, the century baptismal font. XVI and the six gargoyles with animal shapes that line the sides of the temple.
The main chapel is the vault and placed on the altar is the image of the Patron Santo André.
