The sundial is a small memorial to the men and women of the 5th Air Forces that fought in Europe in WWII located at Hill AFB Museum.
The museum is a collection of vintage and modern fighter, bomber, and cargo aircraft at the west gate of Hill AFB in Utah.
The sundial is made of brass and the monument it is put on is made of grey granite. The are two enscriptions on the monument. Around the sundial is the enscription, "We have fought a good fight We have finished our course We have kept the path." The pillar the sundial is on reads: "The 5th Air Force honors our men and women who feel in battle and those who have since gone to join them."
