Summit is one of those places that if you blink, you miss it. The wikipedia entry says very little about Summit, but it seems to say all there is to say!

There is a summit of some kind in the vicinity of summit. There is an elevation sign on Interstate 15 just west of town that announces a summit. But, like the town, the summit is almost impossible to distinguish. The country surrounding the summit is quite flat for some distance and if it weren't for the sign the summit and its namesake town would go unnoticed.
Summit is on Old US Highway 91 between Interstate 15, which replaced US 91, and Parowan, about 6 miles to the northeast. Like many such small towns in Utah, it has a Post Office, an LDS Church, a few residences, some historical markers, and not much else.
