This Marker is located just north of the Sam Houston Wayside on Timber Ridge Road in Rockbridge County. The Beautiful stone church is still in use today and the cemetery contains the graves of many earlier settlers. The Marker stands near the entrance to the church and reads: "This Presbyterian Church was built in 1756, nineteen years after the first settlement in Rockbridge County.
