Peery's Egyptian Theater is a historic Ogden movie theater on Washington Ave between 24th and 25th Streets. It was built in 1923. During construction, a 12-year-old girl named Alison brought her father lunch. At some point during her visit that day she died in a fall, either from scaffolding that she was climbing on, or from falling from a window onto the stage.
These days, the friendly ghost of Alison reportedly hangs out haunting the boxes in the rear of the theater, though there have been sightings of her playing a piano, turning lights on and off, and occasionally sitting next to a lucky patron in the audience. Alison's ghost is described as having shoulder length hair.
