Chachoengsao is a regional town 60kms or so east of Bangkok, but light years distant in sociological terms. While Bangkok is an international, cosmopolitan megapolis, filled with some of the best and brightest from around the world, Chachoengsao is a quiet town of rice farmers and light industry—the Buddhist Bible Belt.
Next to the river is this small restaurant. Its name, so I am told, reflects its locale. The name translates (more or less) as "The Restaurant by the River". The neon is the name, in green, and the neon is lit during the daylight hours. I saw no other sign of neon in the city.
