Der wohl bekannteste und bedeutendste Militärfriedhof Tirols, der "Internationale Friedhof" mit seinen österreichischen, italienischen und sowjetischen Denkmälern gilt in Tirol als das Mahnmal für Frieden, Versöhnung und Völkerverständigung.
Die "Krypta-Kapelle" am Südrand des Pradler Friedhofs erinnert mit einer Reihe von Gedenktafeln an jene Soldaten, die 1915/17 in der Erst-Anlage des Militärfriedhofs nördlich der Wiesengasse beigesetzt worden sind.
Das nordwestliche Grabfeld des 1917 südlich der Wiesengasse angelegten bestehenden Amraser Militärfriedhofs wurde den vorwiegend aus Bosnien stammenden muslimischen Gefallenen der ku.kArmee gewidmet. Die nach Osten orientierten Grabstelen tragen alle einen symbolischen roten Fez.
Ein besonders kunstvolles, historisches Schmiedeeisenkreuz ist den gemeinsamen Gefallenen der kk Österreichischen Armee und der Tiroler Schützen bzw. Landesverteidigern gewidmet, die in den Tiroler Freiheitskriegen 1796/97 und 1799 in allen Teilen des Landes gefallen und nach 1945 infolge von nötigen öffentlichen Bauvorhaben von aufgelassenen anderen Grabfeldern würdevoll hierher umgebettet worden sind.
