The former Forest Service Bend Pine Nursery originally covered more than 300 acres. Most of that land has passed into the ownership of the Bend Parks and Recreation District while the Forest Service retained approximately 25 acres around the former Nursery buildings. The survey cap is set in a concrete slab at the SW corner of the 25 acres retained by the Forest Service. The cap was marked BPN AP1 80 FT ROW and was set in 2003 by PLS 2396 for the Forest Service.
