The Merry Brook School was built in the 1870’s and was originally located near Woodbine’s present day airport. In 1958 the building was moved to the elementary school where it was used for a 5th grade classroom. It was moved once again in 1991, this time to a foundation in Kiwanis Park on the Lincoln Highway where it became an historical museum. The basement houses the Harrison County Genealogical Society. The school, under ownership of the city, is open by appointment by calling (712) 647-2593.
