The district are mostly located on Main St. In the 1880s, the Chinese who were brought to California for the Gold Rush, stayed to worker around the delta area of the Sacramento River. They were joined by the Japanese.
Main Street then were full of saloons, gambling halls and some brothels. Today many of the store are close and shuttered.
