There is not a whole lot to say about this little village church, except that it is a typical open-air design and located in the heart of the village near the public market.
Santa Rosario is a small village on north bank of the Bugang River. It may be accessed by boat from the river, or by a single unpaved road from the coastal highway. The road is not a throughway, but does lead to the Malumpati Cold Springs, where it ends at a popular tourist destination. Tours are offered from the nearby Phaidon Resort, or as a longer side trip from the more visited island of Boracay famed for its fine white sand beaches.
Santa Rosario is also home to a cooperative which helps market hats, bags, baskets, and other articles woven from the reeds that grow along the river.
The Bugang River itself has one numerous awards nationally and internationally as being one of the cleanest inland waterways in the Philippines.
