San Francisco is a city with many hilly neighborhoods. There are many hidden stairways that connect hillside neighborhoods.

Fair AVenue in San Francisco dead-ends at Coleridge, where a stairway then connects with Lundys Lane above. The stairway has 67 steps and gains about 30 feet in elevation. The stairs are wide, straight and made out of concrete with a hand railing up the middle. At the top there is a nice view of Sutro Tower.

One block to the south and parallel to this stairway can be found the Esmeralda Stairway leading up to Bernal Heights Park.
