Bergün is a village in the Albula valley near the pass (also called Albula) to Engadin e.g. St. Moritz. This pass opened for public transport with stage coaches in 1868 and was outdated by the Albula railway line in 1903. So this milestone must be from the 2nd half of the 19th century. It attached to a building wall just next to the old church. The inscription just says 17.5 km, but not to where; it is Tiefencastel the Northern ending of this street.
