Passing by on US Highway 89 there are no visual signs of this small community immediately adjacent to the thoroughfare.

Even though there are a few streets laid out in the grid pattern typical of a town, there are few other signs of such an entity. The tiny post office sits in the middle of scattered houses and plenty of farming activity. Across from the post office is the original historic Rock Church sitting in the midst of the community park. The atmosphere is much more rural than urban in any form.
