Etna is typical of most communities in the Starr Valley of western Wyoming: elevation over 5000 feet, polulation under 500 people. Starr Valley, as a whole, is primarily agricultural. But the scenery is outstanding. The valley is surrounded by magnificent timbered mountain slopes.
The town is mainly just a scattered group of houses with several commercial establishments serving the locals and the travelers passing through on the scenic route from the National Parks to southwest Idaho and northeast Utah.
