Some very impressive Victorian stained glass windows in St Thomas a Becket Church.

The stained glass in this church dates from between 1882 and 1900. The glass was provided by two companies, Ward & Hughes, and Heaton, Butler & Bayne.
Specific windows in the church are:-
East Window is dated 1882, and is by Ward & Hughes. The left two lights depict Noli me Tangere, the centre light the Ascension and the right two lights Maries at Sepulchre.
West window was placed for Queen Victoria’s Jubilee in 1887, and is by Ward & Hughes. The window depicts scenes from the life of Joseph.
The windows in the South aisle are all by Ward & Hughes and date from 1886 to 1888. The subjects are :- Consider the lilies, Feed my Lambs, Wise & foolish virgins, and Presentation.
The windows in the North aisle are by Heaton, Butler & Bayne and date from 1893 to 1900. The subjects are:- Good shepherd, Resurrection, Parable of talents, Soldier being received, and Christ with Martha and Mary.
