Though it is not the highest point of the mesa itself, this spot on Black Mesa is the highest point in the State of Oklahoma.

At 4973 feet, this point on Black Mesa is the highest point in the State of Oklahoma. The high point was found by a survey completed by the Oklahoma Highway Department, that was ordered by Governor Johnston Murray.
The highest point on Black Mesa is actually over 5700 feet above sea level. Heading west along the mesa from Oklahoma, the structure extends another 45 miles through New Mexico and into Colorado, where its true summit lies.
The high point is adorned with a nine foot tall granite obelisk. The obelisk is made of native Indian Head Granite that was quarried and cut in Granite, OK.
There is no monetary fee to access the high point, only the energy needed to complete the hike in.
